Boxed Squares

I have my Boxed Squares top sewn together now. Here is the link to the original post: http://jackiesquilting.blogspot.com/2009/06/boxed-squares.html I think it needs a border to make it a little larger. It measures 48 X 60 right now. Any ideas on what I should use for the border or do you think I should leave it as is?

Multicolored quilts are the hardest to choose a border for without calling attention to any one color in the center. I just start auditioning fabrics that I think will work and view them from at least 6 ft. away. When the right one is there you will know. I have auditioned as many as 50 fabrics sometimes.

This is gorgeous! I don't think they need borders unless you want a larger quilt. I donated mine to a senior through Mom's church so I wanted it lap size to be used in a chair.

There are links to 3 versions made by Susan on my MaryQuilts.com site where she used borders. I really love the first 2 ...

Man, this is beautiful! To border or not to border...isn't that always the question?
I'd say no, but I do that because I just want to get them done. I think the right binding would set it off beautifully!
