Next on the frame

This is what I will be spending most of the weekend working on. Do you have any idea how hard it is to match purple? I think I finally have a color picked out. Lots of feathered wreaths and cross hatching will be going on this quilt. I have a couple marked with chalk on the quilt. I will try to post a progress picture on Monday for you.

Custom quilting

This is a large queen size quilt pieced by a customer.

Close-up of the quilting. Swirls in small inside border double piano key in the large border and meandering swirls in the center. It still has some chalk left on the quilt from marking.
It's really hard to get a good picture of a large quilt.
And the back.

Turning Twenty quilt

I'm not sure if this is a Turning twenty quilt or not. This was pieced by the mother of the young quilter's quilt from yesterday. Quilted with Feeling Groovy panto.

Small quilt

Here is the back of a small customer's quilt. This was pieced by a young quilter. She did an excellent job keeping her quilt square.
And here is the front. Great color choices!

quilting away

I have been quilting away on customers quilts and nothing to show you. I have four finished and ready for pick-up. I hope to be able to share with you next week.

Here is a sneak peak of the back of two of them:

I also got to spend last weekend with these girls. No sewing or quilting when they come to visit but that is O.K. I love catering to them when they visit. Isn't that what Grandmas are suppose to do?
