Custom Quilt

I just finished this customer quilt. The pattern is from Bee Creative Studio O'Christmas Tree. I wish I had a better picture to show you of the border. I'm branching out a little more with custom quilting.

I changed my Blog picture at the top. Did anyone notice? I added a nice signature too!

Snapshots top complete?

I thought I had the Snapshots top pieced. I measured it and it is 46 X 63. What!? I don't think that is big enough for a QOV. I got the book out and read the instructions again. Yes it says it is 5 blocks by 7 and my blocks are 9" and it is suppose to finish at 57 X75. So where did I go wrong. Oh, I see now I still need to add the borders. Looks like a shopping trip is my near future. What color should I use for the border? Solid? Or a print?

Next on the design wall

I have Snaphots blocks ready to put on the design wall now. The blocks really are red, white, blue and gold. I will work on a better picture for the finished top.

I quilted two Quilts of Valor quilts this past week. Do you have a quilt top that you would like to donate to Quilts of Valor? Contact me about turning your quilt top into a Quilt of Valor.

Carolina Crossroads - Top Completed!

I have the Carolina Crossroads quilt top completed now. I need to find a backing for it and get it quilted. I'm planning on quilting this with the contemporary baptist fan.

Color?

Mischele asked what color was the truest on this quilt. I placed a piece of white muslin on the right hand side so you could see how white it shows up on your monitor. If you look close you can see some ugly fabrics in here but when you cut them into 1 1/2" pieces they don't look so bad.

Sashing strips finished!

I have the sashing strips sewn together and I'm ready to sew to the quilt top.

Little Hills UFO challenge

The patriotic top still in pieces.

And the Rainbow Zebra top. I haven't even started to cut this one yet. The directions have a date of 1997, I think it is time for this one to be completed.

Carolina Crossroads

This is the top after sewing the rows together.

This is my Carolina Crossroads on the design wall.

Patience

Please try to be patient with me as I get the hang of blogging. I want to share my piecing and quilting with you. Do the photos look fussy? Do you have any suggestions to fix this?

I have been working on my Carolina Crossroads quilt top that I started back in December. All the blocks have been completed and I am working on the sashing now. I will try to get a picture up later today.
