Block of the Month

My blocks for the new block of the month we are doing at Little Hills Quilt Club this year. The first month had three blocks to do. It is a mystery so I don't know what the finished quilt will look like but she did say it would be patriotic with lots of stars and flags. My kind of quilt!

Weekend update

The Sunflower quilt is all pieced now with just the outside borders still needed. Do you like my fancy row markers? Yep, they are post-it notes.

Sunflower Quilt

Six of the nine rows together! I have the last three rows ready to sew now too. I should be putting the borders on soon.

Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt

I finished the Grandmother's Flower Garden (GFG) quilt this past weekend. The customer didn't have enough blocks to make a traditional GFG so she can up with this setting. Next time I see a few GFG blocks at a antique shop I might have to just bring them home with me and use this idea.

Project Improv

Finally made it to the post office to send these blocks to Jacquie for Project Improv. I also included some 2 1/2" strips that she can use for binding on the quilts.

Here is a link to some of the first quilt tops for Project Improv. http://tallgrassprairiestudio.blogspot.com/2009/03/project-improv-special-person-1.html

Weekend update

I started a customers quilt this weekend. This is all I can show for now. I Should have it completed this coming weekend with pictures to follow next week.

Making some progress on the Sunflower quilt. I can't wait to get it all together. Hopefully before the sunflowers in the garden will be blooming. I don't have the seeds planted yet so it still looks like I could acomplish this goal.
I think I would of made better progress if I didn't have so much help.

Have a great week!

fulled tote

Yes, Knitting. I can hear you gasping, stop it. This is my first tote I knitted, even read the directions and understood them. I didn't say I followed the directions, I used Lion Bran Wool for my tote so it isn't as fuzzy. I still want to make a lining for it. Do you want to make one? Here is the link to the free pattern.
