Paper pieced star

This is a customers wall hanging. I always take a picture of the quilt and doodle on it until I come up with a design for the top to show the customer.

This is the design I came up with for this top and the customer liked it. She wanted a little more quilting in the center star so if you look closely at the center I added some more swirls to the finished top (if you click on the picture it should enlarge for you).

you doodle on a picture...what an interesting part of your process. i guess i always wondered how you come up with how to quilt a piece.
