I'm still here!

I'm still here I just don't have any pictures to share with you. I quilted the Batik rail fence quilt but didn't get any pictures (rainy day) before a took it to the customer. I will get some soon (I hope). I'm getting ready to piece the backing for my Batik Sunflower quilt. I am planning on quilting it this weekend with the wool batting.

I just came across these links to tutorials from Simply this, that and the other and I thought you would enjoy them too.

New Hobby/Craft

I picked up a new hobby in December that I have been keeping quite about. Yep, I'm knitting. I don't think this will over take my love of fabric so the posts on the blog will be kept mostly quilting but don't be surprised at an occasional knitting post.

I'm not sure what I will be doing with all these baby hats. I love the pink bunny hat and the pink hat with the squiggles on top. The blanket is crocheted, not a new hobby just one I haven't done for awhile. I love the cotton yarn that I used in the blanket (Fantasy Naturale by Plymouth yarn) and it is so much nicer than the acrylic yarn I have used in the past. So see even though I'm knitting I am still in love with cotton.

Quilter's Dream Batting

Just received some Quilters Dream batting. I have three large quilts coming up. I was really surprised at the loft of the Wool and Puff. The one in the center is a cotton batting. In all fairness the Wool (on the right) and the Puff (on the left) are king size the center cotton batting is a queen size. I haven't used the wool batting yet but I think I am going to really like it. The wool batting is going in my Sunflower quilt. The Puff batting will be going in a customers quilt. She wanted puffy warm and light weight. I think the wool would work for that but she wasn't sure about the wool so I went with the Puff.
