I skipped posting a few steps with this quilt but it is on the design wall now, Yeah! What do you think? I would of never picked these shades of purple but they really seem to work. I originally had rusts and browns pick out but they didn't do anything for this top. Hopefully there will be lots of sewing this weekend.

Step 1 - complete!
I finally finished step 1 of the Old Tobacco Road mystery quilt! 182 4 patches and 8 half 4 patches. Yeah!!
I am working on step 2 now.....388 half square triangles, no that isn't a typo, it may be awhile before I have something to post on step two.
I finished a customer quilt this morning so as soon as I get permission to post the quilt I will show you.

Old Tobacco Road
I have my fabric cut! I am going to use these plain homespun fabrics. I cut muslin to go with them but didn't like how bla they looked.
So I picked out some more plaid homespun to go with them. I think I like this a lot better. Sorry about the flash in the photo. I'm not sure if I'm going to put the browns/earth tones with them or something else for the 3 1/2" strips. After tonight I will be behind on the mystery so I might wait and see what the other color is used for before I decide. If you are doing the mystery leave me a comment so I can get your link to follow your progress on your blog. If your aren't doing the mystery you can still leave me a comment. I love to read all the comments you leave me.
